Services

Examples of some of the engineering and research services we can provide include:

Project Manager

Bill Baxley, B.S.

Project Description

Typical engineering services include the design, fabrication and testing of unique solutions for research and education applications. Ocean, mechanical and electrical engineers, along with mechanical designers and draftspersons, take projects from concept to reality, often with the help of 3-D modeling and computer animation to ensure proper equipment operation and fit aboard research vessels.

Our fabrication assets include a well-equipped machine shop with a computer numerical control milling machine; welding, cutting, shearing and other metal-working devices; and load-handling equipment, fixed and mobile cranes, and large indoor setup areas. Our fabricators are certified welders (ASME pressure vessel Section 9) and highly experienced in all aspects of metal and plastics fabrication. The manufacturing facility has a high ceiling (50 ft) and a large rollup door for unimpeded access, even for very large structures.
