It is difficult to express how great a privilege it is for me to serve as the president of Florida Atlantic University, my alma mater. Throughout my career in education, I have made students the focus of my work, and the quality of student life at FAU is of paramount importance to me.

Students grow and develop not only through academics but also through campus activities. In the pages of this Student Handbook you will find an array of opportunities to broaden and deepen your experience at FAU, including participation in intramural sports, Greek life, professional societies, cultural organizations and more.

At its best, university life is a mix of academic and social experiences that, taken together, create an environment in which a student can flourish. You will find such an environment here at FAU, and it is my hope that you will take full advantage of it.
