Campus Recreation provides a medium for the campus community to develop leadership,
communication, teamwork and other important social skills for our future leaders. Physical
activity can help relieve stress, loosen up tense muscles, clear the brain-fog caused by extensive
studying and offer great opportunities for meeting people, making friends and having fun.
Various men's, women's and co-ed recreational activities are available to FAU students, faculty and
staff throughout the year.
Activities such as flag football, soccer, basketball, softball and co-ed
volleyball are some of the intramural events that take place on campus. Competitive intramural
teams are also formed to participate in the City of Palm Beach Gardens and Town of Jupiter’s Parks
and Recreation Leagues. Fitness and wellness classes are also offered in partnership with the Town
of Jupiter at the Jupiter Community Center.
The following lighted facilities are available on campus for general student use: swimming pool,
tennis court, basketball court, volleyball court and multi-purpose field for soccer, football and
softball (not lighted).
Sports equipment is available for reservation and use by FAU students, including basketballs,
footballs, soccer balls, softballs, bats and gloves and volleyballs.
