| Dean Of Student Affairs |
"Making A Difference One Student At A Time......."
The Dean of Student Affairs office exists to assist students in meeting their educational goals by offering assistance with academic matters, leadership and student development opportunities, through individualized advising.
- That a student receives proper assistance and or a referral when an extenuating circumstance provents a student from succeeding academically.
- That leadership, growth and student development opportunities are fostered through an active Greek community, founded on the principles of scholarship, brotherhood/sisterhood, leadership and service.
- That student accountability and personal responsibility be upheld through the Student Code of Conduct.
- That through advising and sound financial decisions student government leaders will uphold their mission to offer services and programs for betterment of the student body.
Student services coordinated through this office include Greek Life, Student Government, Health Services, Today and Beyond Wellness Program, Career Development Center, International Students and Scholar Services, the Kenneth R. Williams Leadership Award and the Office for Students with Disabilities. In addition, this office handles student discipline, academic petitions and exceptional circumstance withdrawals and edits the student handbook and student success planner.

| Office of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Broward Campuses |
The Associate Dean is the chief administrative officer for student affairs on the Broward campuses. The student affairs office in Broward is an advocate for all students, and available to help with problem-solving, information and advice.
The Office of the Associate Dean of Student Affairs handles general information, health immunizations, photo ID's and parking/traffic citations. Parking decals are available at the cashiers office on any Broward campus location.

“Planting seeds for career growth”
The Broward Career Development Center (BCDC) provides career decision-making education
and services for all students, alumni, faculty, and employers. The preparation for professional careers
is a crucial part of the educational process at FAU, therefore the BCDC’s philosophy is
“to empower students with the skills needed to manage their careers.” The Center serves as a
liaison between college and the world of work, providing students with a wide array of career events
and activities including: career guidance, employment advisement, etiquette training and
professional image consultation.

| Counseling Center |
"Building Success From The Inside Out"
The Counseling Center provides services to students whose personal difficulties and problems
interfere with their academic adjustment and ability to benefit fully from the university
experience. The center helps students with social, emotional and academic concerns in a sensitive,
caring and confidential manner. Service is provided by appointment,
located on the Davie campus, 2912 College Avenue, Modular 38I. Hours are Monday to Friday,
8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with evening appointments available Monday to Thursday until 7 p.m., by
appointment only.

| Office of Financial Aid |
The Office of Student Financial Aid offers a comprehensive program of student financial aid including grants, loans, scholarships and part-time employment. Assistance is awarded in compliance with state, federal and university regulations on the basis of financial need and academic merit. Financial aid counselors are on campus to assist you Monday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. Counselors are also available to see students by appointment at the Fort Lauderdale campus Askew Tower, room AT210B on Tuesdays, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

FAU is committed to making the University facilities and services accessible and useful to students
with disabilities. The goal of the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) is to support students
with disabilities in their pursuit of equity and excellence in education. Auxiliary aids and human
support services are available to help meet the needs of students with varying disabilities who are
taking classes on the Broward campuses (Davie, Fort Lauderdale and Sea Tech at Dania

| Office of Student Development and Activities |
Office of Student Development and Activities (SDA) is dedicated to promoting a supportive, creative learning environment by developing extra-curricular activities and a campus community through a diversity of high quality, student-centered programs and services. The SDA oversees these services and programs at the Dania Beach, Davie and Fort Lauderdale campuses. Broward Student Government (BSG) serves as the official voice of the student body of the Broward campuses and aims to provide an unforgettable experience and campus life for our students. The Inter-Club Council (ICC) is to provide an opportunity for students, with a common interest, to form a membership group which expresses that interest, and also to provide an educational experience to gain practical knowledge of self-government. The Broward Volunteer Services Center provides opportunities for student volunteer interaction that benefits the campus and local communities. Owl Productions (Program Board) coordinates and facilitates many exciting entertaining events, thought provoking lectures by prominent scholars and speakers, live performances, and multicultural exhibits designed for the enrichment of student life at FAU Broward campuses. The Transfer Orientation is to provide programs and services that facilitate the transition of new students into the institution, prepare transfer students for the institution’s educational opportunities and initiate the integration of new students into the campus community. Broward Graduate Council serves as a planning committee for various graduate student issues, activities and programs, with representatives from each professional school and graduate division. The Student Activity Center in the Liberal Arts Building at the Davie campus and Higher Education Complex at the Fort Lauderdale campus are the sites of many of the programs and activities offered in a formal and an informal gathering place for student groups to meet and interact.

| Office of Multicultural Affairs |
The Office of Multicultural Affairs provides support services and learning resources that will enable Broward students to achieve their educational goals, and celebrate multiculturalism within the Broward Community. Support services include free one-on-one peer tutoring and test prep, academic progress reviews, the University of Success Discussion Group and the Book Loan Program. Multicultural awareness and education programs include Hispanic Heritage Week and Black History Month events; and a Cultural Awareness Dinner. The office also assists International Students and participates in recruitment and orientation activities.

The mission of Student Health Services is to participate in the co-operative effort of the University to enhance students' intellectual, psychosocial and human development. Health-care services are provided regardless of race, religion, gender, age, ethnic origin, sexual orientation, disability or marital status. Student Health Services upholds the rights of students, including the rights of privacy and confidentiality. Student Health Services is entirely supported through the non-refundable student health fee and Students must present a valid photo ID to utilize services.

and submitted each semester for inclusion
