Broward Student
Government
(BSG) serves as the official voice of the student body
of the Broward campuses and aims to provide an
unforgettable experience of student-centered campus life
for students from the Dania Beach (SeaTech), Davie and Fort
Lauderdale campuses. Both a governing body and an advocacy
student organization, Broward Student Government is
involved in policy-making, adjudication, event planning and
implementation, programming, lobbying, community service
and a number of other outreach events. You can find out

Broward Graduate Council (BGC)
Broward Graduate Council is an affiliate of the
Graduate Student Association and a program of Broward
Student Government. The organization is empowered with
serving as an advocate and liaison between Student
Government and graduate students on the Broward campuses.
The BGC also provides and supports various graduate
initiatives, events and programs. The organization
strives to encourage cross-campus interaction and create
opportunities for representatives from all graduate areas
to identify issues of mutual concern and work with the
administration to provide solutions. For more information

The Second Avenue Studio is an
exhibition space located at the campus of the 'creative industries,' FAU Fort Lauderdale.
The work of students, faculty and selected artists are
featured, showcasing the latest trends in art and design.

Students Advocating Volunteer
Involvement
Students Advocating Volunteer Involvement is a
program of Broward Student Government which provides
opportunities for student volunteer interaction that
benefits the Broward campuses and surrounding local
communities. This program area plans and promotes events
and provides organizational referrals so that students can
impact health, environmental and social issues while
enriching their educational experience and enhancing the
University's reputation. Community service hours can
be recorded and submitted each semester for inclusion on

The Council of Student
Organization
The Council of Student Organization is a program of
Broward Student Government and its mission is to provide an
opportunity for students with common interest to form
student organizations which expresses the nature of that
interest. The COSO also strives to provide an educational
experience which allows students to gain practical
knowledge of self-governance. This program area serves as
the representative body which coordinates student
organizational funding, events and programs, as well as
promotes communication and cooperation among student

Owl Productions
Owl Productions is the official programming board for
Broward campuses. This program area coordinates,
facilitates, and implements many exciting and entertaining
events, thought provoking lectures by prominent scholars
and speakers, live performances and multicultural exhibits
designed for the enrichment of campus and student life on
the Broward campuses. You can find out about any of the

House of
Representatives
The Broward House of Representatives serves as
legislative voice for the students on the Broward campuses
of FAU. The House provides a forum for the expression of
student views and interests and ensures that with every
decision made, the interests of the students will remain
first and foremost. This arm of governance also passes
legislation that governs the policies, procedures and
budget for Broward Student Government and works closely
with the University-wide Senate. The Broward House is
comprised of twelve (12) Representatives and two (2)
Senators who hold representation in the University-wide
