The following funds support graduate education at FAU and allow donors to direct gifts to areas of personal interest.
Graduate College General Fund
This fund was created to support the activities of the Graduate College and to enhance student life at FAU. Gifts to this unrestricted fund are used at the discretion of the graduate dean to help with graduate student development and training, graduate faculty recognition, graduate student retention, participation in seminars and workshops, and recruitment of future students.
Graduate Student Fellowship Fund
Funding for fellowships is critical in attracting and retaining quality graduate students. Graduate education is increasingly expensive, and necessary, in today's world. Fellowships help defray student expenses, giving students the ability to focus on their studies full-time while they pursue their degrees.
This fund provides financial support for doctoral students working on their final dissertation research and writing. To be eligible for funding, students must have already completed all coursework requirements and have an approved dissertation proposal. The Dissertation Fund was designed to help graduate students bear some of the costs - workshops, travel expenses, data acquisition – involved in producing a quality manuscript.
