Online Orientation Option

For those of you that would prefer online orientation, the Graduate College has also created a robust online orientation through FAU’s Canvas learning platform. Our virtual orientation provides important information about course registration, academic policies, campus resources, and strategies for making the most of your time in your FAU Graduate Program.

All newly admitted graduate students beginning in Fall 2024 will be automatically enrolled in the virtual orientation. You can access the orientation by following the simple steps below:

  1. Login to canvas.fau.edu, using your FAU NetID (this is the same as your FAU email without the @fau.edu on the end) and password.
  2. On your Dashboard, select “New Graduate Student Orientation”.
  3. Click through each Module of the course to learn more about each resource.

*Note: You will need to have activated your FAU NetID before accessing the virtual orientation.  You can find instructions on how to activate your account by visiting: accounts.fau.edu/.

If you have any difficulty accessing the course, please send an email to elizabethweber@fau.edu.
