After submitting your online application, you can track its status on our website. You can view what documentation has been received, as well as any outstanding items required for FAU to make an admissions decision.
Students new to FAU use OWLS (Online Web Link Services) to check the status of their application.
Existing/former FAU students use MyFAU. Once you are logged in, click on FAU Self-Service and open the Student Services tab to review your application.
Note: Due to the high volume of applications, it may take up to two weeks for your accurate application status to be reflected online.
What is a Z number?
A Z number is a student ID used for identification purposes within the FAU system. Your Z number is unique to you and protects your privacy. Use a capital letter 'Z' when you are entering your Z number (for example: Z12345678). Please remember your Z number and keep it confidential.
How do I find my Z number?
To find the Z number assigned to you, click here. If you are unable to obtain your Z number, please contact the Graduate College one business day after you have submitted your application for assistance.
I don't know my PIN, or the PIN I tried did not work. Now what do I do?
Your initial PIN is set to fauMMDDYY, that is "fau" and your date of birth (format: MMDDYY). For example, if your birth date is June 1, 1970, enter your pin as fau060170. If you are still having trouble with your PIN, please contact the Office of Information Technology HelpDesk at 561-297-3999 to have your PIN reset.

Once a final admissions decision has been made by the program, you will receive an email notification from the Graduate College. Instructions are provided as to how to view the decision online. Additional information is also provided about the specific decision.
