Florida Atlantic University created the FAU Council for International Education in 2006 in order to expand cross college and inter-campus communication on international education issues. The council (known as the FAUCIE) consists of a faculty representative for each college named by the dean, and is chaired by the OIP Director. FAUCIE will share best practices in international education, increase communication across colleges and among faculty, create strategies for growth and expansion in international education at FAU, identify common projects for collaborative engagement, and advise the OIP director and campus leadership on FAU needs and priorities for international education.
