J-1 INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE STUDENT ORIENTATION

This orientation is available to incoming J-1 visa students who are attending FAU as part of Education Abroad approved exchanges. Attendees will meet University staff and students while learning about the many academic, extracurricular, and support services available to them during their time at FAU. GILMAN SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP

Are you a U.S. citizen receiving a Pell Grant with an interest in pursuing study abroad? Join us to learn more about the many benefits of the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship program—an opportunity which provides up to $5,000 for approved study abroad programs. Participants will learn best practices for developing and submitting a successful application from the Gilman Program Advisor and a Gilman scholarship recipient. CRITICAL LANGUAGE SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP

The Critical Language Scholarship (CLS) Program is a fully-funded intensive language and cultural immersion program abroad for American students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities. The program includes intensive language instruction and structured cultural enrichment experiences designed to promote rapid language gains. Join a national CLS representative, the FAU CLS Program Advisor, and a recent FAU CLS alumni to hear firsthand about this amazing opportunity and the doors it can open for you!
