Surfing Florida: A Photographic History was well-received by the press and the public during its run from 2012 to 2014. The traveling exhibit also attracted a number of historical and cultural surf luminaries from around the country.

Clockwise from top right:The opening night of "Surfing Florida" was like an East Coast Surfing Hall Of Fame reunion, with inductees like (from left to right) "Balsa" Bill Yerkes,  Eastern Surf  Magazine Co-founder Tom Dugan, Joe Twombly, and Dick Catri all making appearances. Photo: Mimi Herger; Cheyne Cottrell, a South Florida pro and owner of Island Water Sports lent several historic boards to the exhibit, and he and his wife, Brittney, were impressed with the finished product. Photo: Dugan/ESM; In attendance at the opening, Matt Kechele (left) and filmaker and surf/skate industry leader Bruce Walker in front of an exhibit panel documenting Kechele's early aerial surf moves - full airs beginning in 1979 -- a "Florida First" he doesn't get due credit for. Photo: Craig Snyder.; Darrell Jones, was one of about 60 photographers who contributed images to "Surfing Florida." His images appeared on 12 Surfer magazine covers during the late 1970s and early 80s. Photo: Dugan/ESM
