Mark Catesby and Natural Histories Artists Forage in Science and NatureSchmidt Center Gallery November 9, 2001 - January 19, 2002


Artists in the Exhibition: Bill Burns, Catherine Chalmers, Sam Easterson, Joe Fedderson, Walton Ford, Florencio Gelabert, Alexis Rockman, Christy Rupp, Michael Zansky. "Natural Histories" is an exhibition of nine contemporary artists presented concurrently and in association with the Mark Catesby exhibition. The works in the exhibition represent a range of views and methods artists employ to explore environmental issues and the complex relationships between science, nature and contemporary society.
