First Generation Student Resource Guide

Welcome to the First-Generation Student Resource Guide. Here at FAU, we define a First-Generation Student, as any student whose parents have not completed a 4-year bachelor’s degree. As a First-Gen student at FAU, you are surrounded with a community of resources to help you navigate, graduate, and go on to a successful career that both you and your family can be proud of. Being first can be challenging but it does not have to be lonely, we are here to help!

Whether you are a first-time in college freshmen, transfer, commuter, or returning student, we have gathered resources and connections to help ease your navigation of the collegiate experience. Looking for other First-gen students to connect with? Looking for a job? Need help finding scholarships? It’s all here on your First-Gen resource webpage page. Still have questions? Go ahead and set an appointment or give us a call, and someone from the First-Gen office will be glad to help!
