KENNETH A. JESSELL
Vice President for Financial AffairsKenneth A. Jessell is the Vice President for Financial Affairs at Florida Atlantic University. As Chief Fiscal Officer, he is responsible for the overall management of financial and business operations of the University.
Dr. Jessell was appointed to this position in 1997. Prior to his appointment, he served as Associate University Provost in the Division of Academic Affairs (1994-1997) and as Associate Dean in the College of Business (1987-1994).From July 1, 2002 to March 30, 2004 Dr. Jessell served Florida Atlantic University as its Interim University Provost and Chief Academic Officer. Dr. Jessell is also Professor of Finance and Real Estate in the College of Business. Dr. Jessell started his employment at Florida Atlantic University in 1983 as an Assistant Professor.
Dr. Jessell received his academic preparation from Florida State University. He holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Political Science (1977), a Master of Business Administration Degree (1979) and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Finance (1985).
Dr. Jessell teaches and researches in the areas of Financial Management and Real Estate Finance and Appraisal. He has published sixteen articles and abstracts in academic journals including The Financial Review, Journal of Cash Management, The Appraisal Review, Housing Finance Review, Applied Economics and Journal of Financial Education. He also has presented several papers at professional organizations in Finance and Real Estate.
