Veterans Affairs: Chapter 1607- Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP)

1.	You have not used the GI Bill Benefit before.
2.	Enlists, re-enlists or extends an enlistment in the Selected
	Reserve for a period of not less than six years on or after
	July 1, 1985. (If an officer, the six year period is in addition to any other obligated period of service.)
3.	Has received a secondary school diploma or equivalent before
	completing Initial Active Duty Training (IADT), or before completing a reenlistment or extended enlistment.

5.	Is satisfactorily participating in required training in the
	Selected Reserve. Has not yet been called to Active Duty.

Prior to completing the necessary forms for Chapter 1606 benefits, you may want to determine your eligibility by calling 1-888-GIBill-1 (1-888-442-4551). This number is also a great source of additional assistance in reference to benefit amounts and processing times. For additional inquiries, you may want to view the following website: www.gibill.va.gov.

Next, you may complete the following forms with Florida Atlantic University:

1.	Complete the VA Certification Request Card.
2.	Complete Form 22-1990 – Application For Education
	Benefits. On the top of this form, please write on the top of this form that you are applying for Chapter 1607 benefits.
3.	Complete a Prior Education and Training Questionnaire
4.	Provide a copy of the DD-2384 - Notice of Basic Eligibility.
5.	Provide a copy of the DD-214 MEMBER 4.
