Applications Instructions
Eligibility:
| 1. | You have not used the GI Bill Benefit before. |
| 2. | Enlists, re-enlists or extends an enlistment in the Selected |
| Reserve for a period of not less than six years on or after |
| July 1, 1985. (If an officer, the six year period is in addition |
| to any other obligated period of service.) |
| 3. | Has received a secondary school diploma or equivalent before |
| completing Initial Active Duty Training (IADT), or before |
| completing a reenlistment or extended enlistment. |
| 4. | Has completed IADT |
| 5. | Is satisfactorily participating in required training in the |
| Selected Reserve. Has not yet been called to Active Duty. |

Prior to completing the necessary forms for Chapter 1606 benefits, you may want to determine your eligibility by calling 1-888-GIBill-1 (1-888-442-4551). This number is also a great source of additional assistance in reference to benefit amounts and processing times. Next, you may complete the following forms with Florida Atlantic University:
Monthly Certification:
Certification of Attendance MUST be verified monthly to receive payments. Verification can be done one of two ways:
