On your FAFSA, you indicated that you are enrolled in a graduate program (Question 49) and/or have received your first bachelor's degree (Question 28). As you are currently classified as an undergraduate student, this creates a conflict which needs to be resolved before awarding can continue. If you will be classified as a graduate student for the fall semester but are not yet officially admitted, you do not need to make corrections to your FAFSA. However it is your responsibility to inform the Office of Student Financial Aid once you are admitted. After your status as a graduate student is confirmed, the processing of your aid will continue. If you will not be admitted into a graduate program then you need to review and correct question 28 and/or question 49 on your FAFSA. After your corrections are submitted you will receive a revised Student Aid Report (SAR). Contact our office upon receipt of your corrected SAR so that we may complete the awarding process.

Stafford Loan NSLDS Problem see SAR comment for explanation

NSLDS (BNKR)

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) indicates you have one or more student loans in an active bankruptcy status.  As a result, your NSLDS data must be reviewed by the Office of Student Financial Aid prior to any additional processing. If the review indicates you are eligible for aid, this requirement will be satisfied by our office. Should the review conclude that you are not eligible for financial aid, this requirement will be placed in "Reviewed, Not Approved for Aid" status. In the latter case, you are required to provide documentation from the holder of these loans stating that the loan is dischargeable in order to regain eligibility.

NSLDS (DFLT)

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) has indicated that you have one or more student loans in a default status.  You must provide proof from the loan holder/reporting agency that the loans listed as being in default are in good standing.  You may view your NSLDS loan history at http://www.nslds.ed.gov

NSLDS (DSCH)

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) indicates that one or more of your federal student loans have been discharged due to disability. As a result, per Federal Regulations, you are classified as ineligible to borrow through federal loan programs (Stafford, Graduate PLUS, and Perkins). However, you are still eligible to receive aid through other financial aid programs for which you qualify. The current status of this requirement has been set to a status of "waived" to allow you to receive financial aid other than loans. In order to be eligible for additional student loans, you must satisfy the conditions outlined in the FFELP Eligibility Reinstatement for Students with Previous Disability Discharge Form. This form can be downloaded from the FAU Office of Student Financial Aid web site.

NSLDS (IDTH)

In order to assist you in resolving the NSLDS Loan Identity Theft Alert, your Birth Certificate and Social Security Card have been posted as required documents.

NSLDS (NLIM)

After reviewing data provided by the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), it has been determined that your Federal Stafford Loan borrowing is near the limits established by the U.S. Department of Education. To ensure that you do not exceed these limits, your award has been adjusted to reflect your limited eligibility for additional student loans.

NSLDS (NSLD)

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) indicates you are exceeding your aggregate borrowing limits based on your grade level and dependency status. As a result, your NSLDS data must be reviewed by the Office of Student Financial Aid prior to disbursement of funds. As a result of this review, your eligibility for additional financial aid may be limited. If the review indicates you are eligible for aid (however limited), this requirement will be satisfied by our office. Should the review conclude that you are not eligible for financial aid due to exceeding borrowing limits, this requirement will be placed in a "Reviewed, Not Approved for Aid" status. In the latter case, you must resolve any excess aggregate borrowing in order to regain eligibility.

NSLDS (NSLQ)

The National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) indicates you are near your aggregate borrowing limits based on your grade level and dependency status.

NSLDS (XLIM)

After reviewing data provided by the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), it has been determined that your Federal Stafford Loan aggregate borrowing has exceeded the limits established by the U.S. Department of Education. As a result, you have been classified as ineligible to receive financial aid. To regain eligibility, you must resolve any excess borrowing.
