NOTICE REGARDING DISBURSEMENT OF FINANCIAL AID:
CHECK DISBURSEMENT OF AID TAKES SEVERAL WEEKS. Students need to set aside funds for personal needs during the first three weeks of the semester. Unless you have authorized direct deposit of your aid with your existing bank or BankAtlantic, checks will be mailed to the local address on file with the Registrar's Office.
To Access and Change Address: Log on to MyFAU, click on the FAU Self-Service link then select the Personal Information to view and update your address, phone number, emergency contacts and more.
The Office of Student Financial Aid maintains this calendar to inform you of important financial dates/deadlines.
SUMMER 2008:
| April 18, 2008 | Last day to apply for FAU Short Term Advance for SPRING 2008 Semester. |
| April 28, 2008 | First day to apply for FAU Short Term Advance for SUMMER 2008 Semester. |
| April 30, 2008 | Last day to accept Loans for Fall 2007 and Spring 2008. |
| May 2, 2008 | SPRING 2008 Semester ends. |
| May 8, 2008 | First Disbursement of SUMMER 2008 Short Term Advance. |
| May 12, 2008 | First day of classes for Term 1 and Term 2 (old A/C terms). |
| May 16, 2008 | Last day to drop/add without consequences for SUMMER 2008 (Terms 1, 2 and 3) and must remain at least half-time to be considered eligible for most forms of aid. NOTE: Students must be attending half time (defined as 6 or more credits for undergraduate students and 3 or more credits for graduate students) to be eligible for financial aid disbursement (specific cases of Federal Pell Grant funding and certain private loan products may be exceptions). Summer 2008 financial aid will NOT disburse to students whose half time attendance status is dependent on courses where the drop/add deadline is in the Second Half Term of the Summer 2008 session commencing June 23, 2008. Deadline to submit all required forms for Concurrent Enrollment for SUMMER 2008 Terms. Failure to submit all requested information may result in reduction of financial aid initially awarded for term. |
| May 19, 2008 | Last day to pay fees for SUMMER 2008 Terms 1 and 2. Financial Deferment Deadline (In order to receive Deferment of Tuition Payment, students must submit financial aid award documents online by 5pm this date.) After this date a $100 late payment fee and/or $100 late registration fee will be assessed. |
| June 30, 2008 | Last day to pay fees if ALL attending credit hours are in Summer Term 3 ONLY. Financial Aid Deferment Deadline for Gateway Program ONLY (In order to receive Deferment of Tuition Payment, students must submit financial aid award documents online by 5pm this date.) After this date a $100 late payment fee and/or $100 late registration fee will be assessed. |
| July 23, 2008 | Last day to apply for FAU Short Term Advance for ALL SUMMER 2008 Terms. |
| August 8, 2008 | First day to apply for FALL 2008 Short Term Advance. |
