CERTIFICATE IN FILM AND VIDEO - GRADUATE
For graduate students, the Certificate in Film and Video provides a flexible curricular framework for an interdisciplinary focus on film and video across departmental and college boundaries. The program structures FAU's current course offerings in film and video to prepare graduate students in any department or college to write a thesis or dissertation in the area of film and video studies, or simply to demonstrate coherent knowledge for teaching or other purposes.
For the graduate certificate, master's students are required to complete two core courses and two elective courses. Doctoral students are required to complete two additional elective courses for a total of six courses. In addition to the regular curriculum, other elective courses with significant attention to film and video may be approved by the Program Director. Admission to the graduate Certificate in Film and Video is limited to students currently enrolled in a graduate program at Florida Atlantic University. Credits earned for graduate degree programs will also count for the certificate if approved by advisors in both programs.
