Report Stranded and Injured Marine Animals on New App

There is a new smartphone app from NOAA Fisheries that can help stranded/injured dolphins and whales. "Dolphin & Whale 911" for iPhone and Android enables people in the southeastern U.S. to immediately report live or dead stranded, injured or entangled marine mammals by connecting them to the nearest stranding response hotline, detected through your phone's internal GPS system. FAU Harbor Branch's Marine Mammal Research and Conservation program is one of the agencies on-call to respond to these types of strandings.
