MacArthur Campus to Host ‘Mi Pajaro,’ an Exhibition by Rolando Chang Barrero

Florida Atlantic University will host “Mi Pajaro,” a solo exhibition of 10 works by West Palm Beach artist Rolando Chang Barrero, now through Friday, Dec. 12, at the John D. MacArthur Campus Library Gallery, 5353 Parkside Drive, Jupiter.

The exhibition features paintings from Barrero’s signature pajaro (bird) collection of South Florida’s top 20 endangered birds; his “Debutante” collection, which consists of paintings of a formal dress an 18-year-old may have worn in the 1950s and 1960s; and his “Flag” collection, which features stylized variations of the American flag with its stripes and stars and red, white and blue. A Florida native, Barrero was born in Coconut Grove and owns a Lake Worth art gallery and a Boynton Beach art studio. he exhibition is free and open to the public.
