FAU CARD Brings Together Autism Community

In the spirit of cooperation instead of competition Florida Atlantic University’s Center for Autism and Related Disabilities brought together leaders from various organizations in the autism community at its second annual Autism Leaders breakfast, held at the University Club on the Boca Raton Campus. Attendees exchanged ideas, stories and information over a buffet-style breakfast followed by heartfelt words from Trustee Bob Rubin and Rep. Ted Deutch. Organizations were introduced and representatives shared overviews of programs available in Palm Beach and Martin Counties.

CARD’s Executive Director Jack Scott emphasized, “We’re all part of a common mission in terms of helping children and individuals with autism and their families, but when we can work together, it’s my belief that we are more powerful; we’re able to be more effective.”
