It is a truism that the only constant thing in life is change. The painting is cross-cultural in its use of symbols including quoted images from Chinese folk art, Ancient Egyptian wall painting, and a Baroque woodcut.
Its complexity reveals itself slowly to the viewer, but ultimately aims us at a large, wide-angled contemplation of life in its variegated spiritual and physical manifestations.
