Elena Machado
Some of the courses Elena Machado Sáez has taught at FAU include surveys of American, Caribbean and US Latino/a literatures as well as more specialized courses in Caribbean Fabulist Fiction, Caribbean Historical Fiction, and The Hyphen in US Latino/a Literature and Theory. She has published articles on Caribbean and US Latino/a literatures in journals such as Anthurium, MELUS, Phoebe, Sargasso, and Small Axe. She has also coauthored the book, The Latino/a Canon and the Emergence of Post-Sixties Literature (Palgrave Macmillan 2007). Her current book project focuses on contemporary historical fiction by Caribbean diasporic writers.
