A. Papatya Bucak has published stories, poems, and essays in a variety of literary magazines, including Glimmer Train, Mississippi Review, and The Fairy Tale Review. Her fiction has been short-listed for the Mississippi Review Prize, the Spokane Prize, and the Pushcart Prize. She was the recipient of a 2005 Individual Artist’s Fellowship from the State of Florida, and has been a writer-in-residence at Hedgebrook Farm. She was born in Istanbul, Turkey.
