Unit Training and Assessments

Please contact us at em@fau.edu to request training on the following:


Unit emergency planning

     o  Developing your Unit Emergency Response Plan (UERP)
     o  Developing your Unit Continuity of Operations Plan (UCOOP)
     o  Developing hazard-annexes to your emergency plans, such as:
         -  General Actions – evacuation and shelter-in-place (genera, tornado/severe weather, active threat)
         -  Tropical Systems
         -  Infectious Disease/Pandemic-flu

We offer Unit Assessments to complement your Unit emergency planning. These are on a first come-first serve basis and with the assistance of the Unit leader and staff, assess:

* Facility and unit layout and design

* Operations, occupancy and procedures

* Unit personnel special skills and abilities

* Unit-specific inter/intra-dependencies

We involve key stakeholders such as University Police and Environmental Health and Safety in the assessment process to ensure the appropriate expertise is harnessed
