NEW TITLE IX REGULATIONS FROM DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

On May 6, 2020, the United States Department of Education released new regulations under Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 related to sexual discrimination in education.  Those new regulations went into effect on August 14, 2020.  FAU adopted changes to its Regulations and Policies to assure full compliance.  

FAU will continue to comply with applicable federal, state and local discrimination/harassment laws to provide an educational, employment and business environment free of all forms of discrimination or harassment. OEI will continue to work with the Dean of Students’ Office and our campus partners to offer services and educational programs designed to prevent and respond to prohibited sexual conduct and other forms of unlawful discrimination.
