COE's Tiffany Cox Wins the 3MT Championship People's Choice Award

Tiffany Cox, Teaching and Learning graduate student, was the Championship People's Choice Winner and recipient of a $1,500 Award at the 2020 3MT Thesis Competition. Susannah Brown, Ph.D., served as her faculty advisor. FAU Graduate College hosted the University's 2020 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition virtually in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines. 

The people’s choice award was determined by more than 7,000 online votes submitted by public viewers. Tiffany’s award-winning video presentation Band Directors Don't Wear Heels: The Lived Experiences of Female High School Band Directors in Florida” may be seen on YouTube.

The 3MT® Competition, originally founded by the University of Queensland in 2008, is now hosted at more than 900 universities worldwide. The goal of the competition is to help graduate students develop their presentation and academic communication skills.
