FAU’s KDP Chapter Receives Awards at Annual Convocation

Florida Atlantic University’s Kappa Delta Pi Rho Omega chapter received two awards of distinction at the 53rd Annual Convocation in Norfolk, Virginia.  The convocation is one of KDP’s longest standing traditions consisting of three days of workshops, keynote speakers and network opportunities. 

Susannah Brown, Ph.D., professor in the College of Education and Rho Omega co-counselors received the O.L. Davis, Jr. Counselor of Distinction Award.  This award recognizes and honors chapter counselors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, mentorship, personal scholarship, professional development and service. 

Lydia Bartram, Director of Karen Slattery Educational Research Center and Rho Omega co-counselor accepted the Counselor Service Award in recognition of five years of outstanding service and dedication to the chapter. 

This year Rho Omega took part in the Chapter Challenge, KDP’s annual fundraiser and signature philanthropic initiative. Rho Omega’s Chapter Challenge Award is represented by the year engraved on their Chapter Challenge plaque.
