FAU Foundation recognized the College of Education at their “Giving in Paradise: Faculty/Staff Campaign Thank You Breakfast” held in the Alumni Great Hall on the Boca campus. The Giving in Paradise campaign served as an opportunity for faculty and staff members to donate and support FAU students, departments, and programs.

The College received the “Most New Donors” award, accepted by Jorene Jameson, Ph.D., COE Director of Development. Darlene Epperson, office assistant in the department of Counselor Education, and Suzanne Nichols, senior secretary in the Dean’s Office, both received “Ambassador of the Year” awards for their efforts throughout the campaign.

“I was very surprised to get the award. I enjoy organizing events like the Cookie Break we held.  It gets people out of their offices and gets them to give at the same time, said Darlene.  No matter where people decide to donate their annual giving, it ends up supporting the College”

Ambassadors Ann Musgrove, Ed.D., Assistant Professor in the department of Teaching and Learning, Darlene and Suzanne came together to coordinate a Cookie Break at FAU Boca as a fun way to inform faculty and staff of the ways they are able to give back.

College of Education Cookie Breaks also took place on Jupiter and Davie campuses.  “We so enjoyed the Foundation Cookie Day here in Jupiter,” said Patty Kirsch, COE Assistant Dean.

Thanks to faculty and staff members for their generous contributions.
