Yes, the nominations event for Unicorn Children’s Foundation Community Inclusion Awards was held last night. The FAU Academy for Community Inclusion received a very nice call out about the work we’re doing. There were lots of nominations in 16 different Community Inclusion categories… and the Academy was named as a finalist under the Postsecondary Program of the Year category.

The next step is to winnow down the nominees and select the winner for the Community Choice Award. All nominees for the Community Inclusion Awards are eligible for the Community Choice Award. The Community Choice Award is made by asking interested folks in the community to vote for their favorite person or organization. The vote is held on-line. People are encouraged to vote daily (once a day on computers with unique IP addresses). Voting is open now through Friday, November 15th.

On Friday, November 22, the winner of the Community Choice Award will be recognized in an awards luncheon at the Boca West Country Club, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.Even if ACI isn’t selected for the Community Choice Award, this was a nice recognition for FAU!
