November 10 Wednesday Lecture Series: Follow Up

Mark Nerenhausen and newest Friend of FAPS, Elizabeth Hude

Mark Nerenhausen kept the crowd engaged.

Elizabeth Hude was beaming after becoming the 3rd Friend of FAPS award recipient
Mark Nerenhausen’s lecture on the “The Cultural Economy” was –as expected- exceptionally dynamic. Discussing the role of the arts as an important economic development tool for the twenty-first century, Mr. Nerenhausen emphasized that one need not necessarily appreciate or even like the arts in order to benefit from their presence.
This lecture was a “Do Not Miss” for URP students . Luckily, FAPS has a video of this lecture for those who were unable to attend. FAPS Chief of Staff Bill Nemser can provide details for those who wish to borrow the tape (wnemser@fau.edu).
An additional highlight of the event was the awarding of the coveted “Friend of FAPS” designation to FAU alum Elizabeth Hude who now works along with Mr. Nerenhausen at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. Ms. Hude is only the third Friend of FAPS.
