We are currently seeking applicants for GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIPS
for entry to the graduate program in the
Fall 2000. A 9 month stipend of $10,278 may be paid during
the Fall and Spring semesters, with the liklihood of an additional $3,426 over the summer for the students enroled in the Master Program and a 9 month stipend of $11,049 may be paid duringthe Fall and Spring semesters, with the liklihood of an additional $3,683 over the summer for the students admited to the candidacy to the Ph.D. Program. Assistanships generally include tuition wavers. Some scholarships are also available for minority students and others.
At present we have a total of about 20 graduate students, several of whom are part-time and eight are women. Seven students are actively pursuing a Ph.D degree; they have MS degrees and have passed the qualifying exam. The students are from a variety of backgrounds; from the US, France, Israel, China and Romania.
