Suzanne Sheber teaches
CLAST, General Knowledge, GRE, Math Refresher, and Grammar Refresher test
preparations courses. Ms. Sheber has taught standardized test preparation and
basic skills courses at Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University for
over 15 years. She teaches both math and verbal skills along with test taking
strategies and approaches. Students find her classroom teaching style to be
uplifting and supportive. She graduated from FAU with a B.A. in Humanities
and received the Kenneth R. Williams Leadership Award. She studied graduate
level coursework in business and in education.
Teri Lynn Betor has
over twenty years of experience. She teaches the math and English sections
of the SAT, GK/CLAST, GRE, and GMAT prep courses. She consistently receives
exceptional student evaluations, with students reporting that her teaching
strategies and style simplify the test material and provide practical tactics
that allow them to achieve success in their admission testing program. Ms.
Betor obtained a degree in Journalism from the University of Florida, having
graduated first in her class. She received multiple awards for excellence
in language studies throughout her academic career and excels in teaching
English grammar and writing skills. Ms. Betor has also worked as a professional
writer and editor in both broadcast and print media. In addition, she has
taught ESL (English as a Second Language) at private language schools for
more than ten years.
Dr. Ron Schwartz Ph.D teaches GRE, GMAT, and SAT test preparation courses. He has instructed classes in operations management and mathematics at Florida Atlantic University in the Barry Kaye School of Business. He additionally taught test preparation at The Huntington Learning Center in Boynton Beach. Dr. Schwartz received his B.A. degree from Western Reserve University, a M.A. degree from John Carroll University, and a Ph.D. degree from Akron University. Dr. Schwartz has had extensive consulting experience and has authored over 8 books in the areas of statistics and computer science. Students have enjoyed his "active" rather than "passive" instructional style where they are able to enhance their problem solving skills in a dynamic and challenging learning environment.
Joel M. Comerford, Esq. teaches CLA and LSAT test preparation courses. He has developed and taught standardized
test preparation courses at Florida Atlantic University for over 5 years. He
also teaches in the Legal Assistant Program at FAU. He received his B.A. from
Florida Atlantic University and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University. Mr.
Comerford is a practicing attorney in Boca Raton, Florida.
Ken Matheis M.S. teaches
GRE, GMAT, SAT test preparation courses. He has taught various mathematics
courses
at Florida Atlantic University for 5 years. He received a B.A. in Mathematics
and a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University, and
a M.S. in Mathematics from FAU where is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Mathematics.
He looks forward to bringing the same insight and enthusiasm from his other
courses to the test preparation program.
Joy Kastanias,
Esq. teaches CLA Review preparation courses. She is a practicing elder law attorney
who has instructed various courses in the Paralegal Certificate and Test Preparation
programs at Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Kastanias earned her Bachelor
of Arts degree in English and Psychology from the University of Alabama and
her Juris Doctor from DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to attending
law school, her professional experience included working as a technical writer
and an editor. She is licensed to practice law in both Florida and Illinois.
