COURSE DESCRIPTION: Since the completion of the Torah and the Tanach, historians and archeologists have had time to examine and analyze the Old Testament. Who wrote the Old Testament scriptures and when? What do academic historians and archeologists say about the history behind the Old Testament? Was Moses a real person? Did Joshua win all the battles he waged or did he take credit for another Israelite hero? When was the Torah written and who wrote it? How many scribes were involved in the writing of the Torah? When was the first Torah completed and who compiled it? When was the Old Testament that is the Tanach completed and canonized? These and many other "secrets" will be decoded and uncovered.

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Arthur Garcia is an amateur historian with a strong interest in the academic history of the Bible and religion. He has been an Adjunct Instructor at Palm Beach State College since 2002. He taught at LLS, Spring 2012. Prior to starting his teaching career, Mr. Garcia was a successful businessman and a practicing engineer.
