Vive La France - A Celebration of French Opera Part One:
The Tenors
Giuseppe Albanese
Recipient of the 2000 Excellence in Teaching Award

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: This program highlights great tenor moments from major French lyrical works featuring the vocal artistry of Roberto Alangna, Jonas Kaufmann, Placido Domingo and others. Stirring arias from such famous operas such as Faust, Carmen, The Tales of Hoffman and more will be shown on video. This exciting program will showcase the tenor division of voice which is utilized magnificently in the French repertory. 

BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION: Giuseppe Albanese attended the University of Vermont and received his degree in history in 1966. In 1989, after five years of intensive study, he developed a dynamic education program entitled, The Joy of Opera. For the past 25 years, he has lectured extensively on numerous operatic subjects and has produced several video documentaries.
