Presenting programs for LLS

Program Information

Online Registration for Fall 2014 is now open. This service is for members only, but you can automatically become a member, or renew your membership at the same time that you are registering online. Go to to register today.

If you have not received your confirmation and FAU hangtag by mail, they will be waiting for you at your first session. Please check at the desk in the Gilman Lobby of the Friedberg Auditorium.

If you do not have a permanent LLS photo ID card it is important that you get your photo taken in the Gilman Lobby of the Friedberg Auditorium before the start of your program, because this permanent ID card will function as your entrance card to all your LLS events.

The Fall 2014 Schedule Book is on the LLS website. Online registration will be available for members only at that time at: The schedule book was mailed to LLS members Mid July.

The Lifelong Learning Society Fall 2014 Schedule will be available at libraries in Boca Raton, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach early August. Please call your local branch to confirm availability.

Member/Non-Member Walk-in Registrations:

Beginning Wednesday, September 17, prior to the start of the Fall term, members and non-members may register in person by coming to the Gilman Lobby of the Barry and Florence Friedberg Lifelong Learning Auditorium between 9 am and 4 pm. Registrations WILL NOT be accepted before this date. NO EXCEPTIONS. Non-member registrations sent in prior to this date will not be processed until September 17, and only if space is available.


Both of Dr. Robert P. Watson’s one-time lectures (HLS12154 and HLS12155)- Campaign 2014 and 2016: Looking Back, Looking Forward, on Monday, December 15, 2014, 3:30 - 5:15 pm, and 7:00 – 8:45 pm are “SOLD OUT”.

Dr. Ralph Nurnberger ‘s one-time lecture (HLS12164) Mapping the Middle East from 3:30 – 5:15 pm is “SOLD OUT”.


Dr. Steven Charlap one-time lecture (HLS12162) The Longevity Paradox: Why Living to 100 is Easier For Some People Than Living To 85 is For Most from 12:45 – 2:30 pm is “CANCELLED”.
