Honors Introduction to Academic Life (SLS 1501)
 
 

The Honors Introduction to Academic Life emphasizes skills that are necessary in making the transition from high school or another postsecondary institution to the Honors College. The course is instructed by the Director of Student Affairs. The course is designed to help develop academic and personal skills that will help you in achieving your academic goals, assist you in developing and/or improving essential academic skills, assist you in creating a sense of place and a feeling of connectedness to the Honors College community, develop analytical and critical thinking skills, and improve your written and oral communication skills. This one credit course is offered to HC first year students and a special section is designed for transfer students.
