”Immune and
Central Nervous Systems Interactions: Implications for Appetite and
Metabolism”
Recent research has
uncovered a dynamic interplay between the immune and central nervous
systems, with overlapping molecules and pathways providing a link between
these two systems. One context in which these interactions are evident is
in the control of appetite and metabolism. This seminar will provide an
overview of this interaction, and provide examples from research that has
examined this important aspect of human physiology.
