holds its 5th annual Honors Summer Institute July 10 - July 31, 2010. This three-week summer program draws together rising 11th and 12th graders (students entering 11th and 12th grade) with the resources of FAU’s
Honors College.

Students will take an honors course taught by distinguished
Honors College
faculty and receive 3 college credits. Course listings are available online.
Students also participate in an array of other supervised social and educational activities throughout this summer enrichment program.

A brief summary of program details:
* When: Saturday, July 10 – Saturday, July 31, 2010.
* Where: Wilkes Honors College, Florida Atlantic University, MacArthur Campus, Jupiter, FL.
* Program Fee: approximately $2,500. This includes a private bedroom in an Honors College residence hall suite, full meal plan, and activities. Activities include social and recreational events, symposia, and college and career workshops. Florida students who do not qualify for dual enrollment must pay an additional tuition fee of approximately $365; out of state students must pay an additional out-of-state tuition fee of approximately $1,680. These figures are subjet to change. The cost does not include personal or incidental costs

* Summer Program for College Credit: students who complete the program receive three college credits.
* Dual enrollment: eligible Florida high school students can “dual enroll” for both high school and 3 college credits.
* Numerous other learning activities: such as field trips, organized debates, and career discussions.
* Private bedroom in Honors College residence hall suites and a meal plan: included in the program fee.
* A number of recreational activities: around the campus and Palm Beach County will be arranged.
* Number of spaces is limited: please encourage students to apply as soon as possible. Applications should be received by May 15, 2010.
