Dr. Jiang comes to the Wilkes Honors College
after serving as a curatorial Postdoctoral
Fellow at the National Gallery of Art and
the Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M.
Sackler Gallery, at the Smithsonian Institution,
Washington D.C. He has also taught at Gettysburg
College. Dr. Jiang’s research focuses
on the art and archaeology of early China.
He combines art-historical observations
of visual style, textual studies of bronze
and oracle bone inscriptions, and studies
of political history to understand early
Chinese material culture.
