Dr. Jakee was a senior lecturer at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Melbourne, Australia) before joining the WilkesHonorsCollege. Before that he was a lecturer in the Department of Economics at MonashUniversity (Melbourne). He was also a postdoctoral research scholar at the City University of Stockholm, Sweden, and visiting lecturer at University College Cork, in Ireland. Prior to completing his Ph.D., he received a Fulbright fellowship to conduct research in Sweden. He has also served as consultant and policy analyst. His research interests are in entrepreneurship, modern political economy, public policy, and law and economics, and his most recent work is on habit formation and dependency in the welfare state.
