Showcase your research, or enter a writing contest, as part of the 2013 Florida Collegiate Honors Council Conference, held at the The Westin Fort Lauderdale.

Presentation Proposal - Internal Deadline is extended to Friday, December 7, 2012 at 5 pm

Students who wish to present their research as part of a panel of student presenters must complete the presentation proposal submission form by Friday, December 7 at 5 pm. Presentations may take the form of a research or informative presentation, interactive workshop, roundtable discussion, or a poster presentation of your research. Please review the 2013 FCHC Presentation Proposal guidelines for descriptions and time limits.

Writing Contest - Internal Deadline is Friday, November 30, 2012 at 5 pm

The Writing Contest is hosted by the Florida Collegiate Honors Council and has cash awards of $50-$200. The internal deadline for submission is Friday, November 30 at 5 pm. The categories are documented research or critical thinking (freshman/sophomore, junior/senior), poetry, and fiction. Entries must strictly adhere to the Contest guidelines or they will not be considered. Please review the 2013 FCHC Writing Contest guidelines for details. E-mail your submission as an attached Word document to Dr. Mark Tunick by Friday, November 30 at 5 pm. In your email you must include:

  1. Your name, email, telephone number and address;
  2. The category in which you are submitting;
  3. The submission title;
  4. A statement indicating you agree to the conditions of the writing contest.

Incomplete or late entries cannot be considered. Submissions must have no grammatical errors.

The top three papers in each category will be selected by a faculty committee and submitted to the FCHC contest judges. Winners must attend the awards ceremony during the Florida Collegiate Honors Conference.
