Honors College Student Samantha Montgomery receives Talon
 

Samantha Montgomery is the 2007 recipient of the Student Talon Award. The Student Talon Award is an honor bestowed annually to a student who exemplifies exceptional leadership and service to the University and surrounding community. This award was presented at the Talon Leadership Awards Ceremony and Reception during Homecoming week in October.

Samantha Montgomery is a fourth year student who has a concentration in Women's Studies and

Psychology and will be graduating in the Spring of 2008. A Flagler Scholar, Samantha maintains a 4.0 GPA and works hard outside the classroom. Samantha is involved in several student organizations on the MacArthur Campus, she is an active member of Psychology Club, Theatre in the Raw, Feminist Student Union, and our Gay-Straight Alliance. She has also served as President of the FAU Honors College Resident Student Association for four years, planning events and philanthropy projects for her fellow students, such as our annual fundraiser for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
