4 Honors College Students on the FAU Debate Team Win
The weekend of November 10, 2007 the Fau Debate Team went to the Florida Community College in Jacksonville for the 9th Annual Star Invitational. Four of our Honors College students were on the team: Alan Gray (club president), Jill Bevins, Walter Manning, Robert Bruton (pictured left to right.)
They brought back six awards:
Best Small School Overall
Robert Bruton won 6th place in the Lincoln-Douglas Debate
Robert Bruton won 5th place, Speaker, Lincoln-Douglas Debate
Alan Gray won 2nd Place, Speaker, Parliamentary Debate
Alan Gray won Top Novice, Oral Interpretation of Poetry
Alan Gray won Top Novice and Semifinalist, Impromptu Speaking
Jill Bevins and Walter Manning also competed in Parliamentary Debate. Congragulations to the Debate Team!
