| Melissa, who majored in Biology at the Honors College and did her thesis on the movement of gopher tortoises, is working towards her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina in Charlotte where her research involves using remote sensing and GIS to analyze habitat quality indicators for red wolf colonization in North Carolina. Her research will involve analyzing historical land use changes in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem to identify habitat loss as it applies to the gray wolf. |
