Southeast Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine (SEACSM) will be held on February 14-16, 2008 in Birmingham, Alabama

All of the submission pages for the 2008 Annual meeting are presently closed, except for the clinical program. We thank everyone who has submitted an abstract for review. Registration and hotel information will be posted some time in late October.

Guest Speakers for the 2008 SEACSM Annual Meeting
    An exciting program has been organized and includes the following guest speakers: Dr. Paul Ridker, Dr. Anne McTiernan, Dr. Mark Roltsch and ACSM President Dr. Robert Sallis. Check out some bio information on these invited speakers to our 2008 SEACSM Annual Meeting: Speaker Bios


The 2008 SEACSM Abstract Submission Time will end at midnight on October 1, 2007. Clinical Abstracts will be accepted up to December 15, 2007.


Posters should made to fit on a board which is 4'x 6'. Presenters should bring their own pins to present their poster.

The 2008 Annual Meeting will be held February 14-16, 2008 at the Wynfrey Hotel in Birmingham, Alabama. Room reservation materials will be provided soon.



GRADUATE SCHOOL FAIR:
The SEACSM annual meeting is continuing to host the Graduate Student Fair at the February 2008 convention in Birmingham,AL. Faculty members from schools with graduate programs or employers with internship sites will meet with interested students. This fair is a wonderful networking opportunity to meet students from other schools and learn about the Southeast Region graduate schools and/or internship opportunities. Information concerning admission's policies, processes, research and programs of study will be provided. Worksites with internships are encouraged to share information during this time. Do not miss the chance to network and learn about graduate school and internship opportunities. Free refreshments and snacks will be available.

The Graduate Student Fair will be on, Friday, February 15th at the Wynfrey Hotel. If your school or internship site is interested in hosting a booth, please contact:

A fee of $75 (an additional $15.00 if an electrical outlet is needed) payable to the Southeast Chapter, ACSM is required to host a booth. RECEIPTS: Those who pre-register will have a receipt in their packet. Those who register at the meeting will receive the receipt at that time.
