2009 SEACSM Meeting
Birmingham, AL will host the 2008 SEACSM 37th Annual meeting on February 12-14, 2009 at the Wynfrey Hotel.
SEACSM would like to start to recognize the past Presidents. These individuals have help to lead and direct the SEACSM Chapter. Please recognize the role that these individuals have played within our chapter, both at the regional and national level. Our past presidents are:

With great sadness, SEACSM would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the family of Dr. Joseph Chromiak from Mississippi State University, who has recently died. Letters and well wishes can be expressed to his wife and 6 year old son, through the Department of Kinesiology, P.O. Box 6186, Mississippi State , MS 39762.
The following individuals were elected to serve the SEACSM Chapter at the 2008 Annual Meeting: President Elect-Alan Utter, Member-at-Large: Ed Acevedo and Lynn Panton. The following individuals were award winners at the 2008 meeting. The 2008 SEACSM Service Award winner was Anne Allen and the Henry J. Montoye Scholar Award Winner was J. Larry Durstine. The Student Award winners were: Ph.D. Category: 1) Mary Beth Brown-Georgia Institute of Technology, 2) Benjamen Corona-Georgia State University, 3) Amanda Willig-UAB and in the Master/Undergraduate Category: 1) Jacqueline Del Giorno-Elon University, 2) Matthew Jepson-University of South Carolina, 3) Thomas Peterson-Appalachian State University. The Clinical Case Winner was Jeffrey B. Roberts, MD. He is from the Duke program.

The SEACSM Chapter won the Blood Drive At the 2007 ACSM National Meeting. The Chapter has won $300 for this effort. Thank all of you that helped to make this event a success.
