Come join FAPS, DURP faculty, alums, and fellow students as we celebrate the last day

North Fork of the New River Canoe Launch @ Delevoe Park 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
What’s Involved?
First, we have fun cleaning up the river. After, we hang out and BBQ.
Bring family and friends to help pitch in!
What to Wear?
Dirt-loving comfortable clothes, hat, sneakers. Gloves provided.
What if it Rains?
Dr. Vos posts a recorded cancellation notice at (954) 762-5653 if
weather and canoe conditions become adverse. Otherwise, rain or
shine!

Exit Sunrise Blvd. West at top of ramp. Continue to NW 27th Ave.South
to NW 6th St. / Sistrunk Ave. East to Delevoe Park. 0.1/mile on right next
to the African-American Research Library.

“Beyond Green Building” John Szerdi, Living Designs Group, LLC
Green building is a concept that has found great popularity in the world of planning recently. Many are familiar with the LEED accreditation that is associated with it and the elements that comprise the rating system, but Living Designs Group has taken the concept a step further. With sustainable design projects that include features such as the wastewater treatment system pictured below, the firm seeks to design buildings that are truly living systems.

April 5, 2008 | Tri-Rail Adventure
We will be taking the 10:40 a.m. train from the Fort Lauderdale station located off of Broward Blvd. and arrive in West Palm Beach at 11:34 a.m. Raphael Clemente, of the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority will take us on a brief tour of the redevelopment activity that has occurred downtown over the last few years. Then, everyone is free to enjoy the area and return whenever you like. Meet up at the Ft. Lauderdale station at 10:30 a.m.
