
Student Contest Winners As part of FAU's civic engagement efforts for the presidential primary debates, three contests were held for FAU students. Prizes included tickets to the presidential debates, the official Watch Party and Comedy Central’s “Indecision 2008” show as well as gift certificates. Winning entries for the contests are listed below. Thanks to all the students who submitted entries.
Students were asked to create a short, compelling video on a pressing issue that our country faces.

Students were asked to write an essay of less than 750 words in response to the following prompt: “What is the most pressing issue our country faces and why? What proposal would you make to begin addressing this issue?"

Students were asked to create a design that promotes any theme relevant to the presidential primary debates at FAU. Suggested themes: Voices of Today, Leaders for Tomorrow; Today’s Voice, Tomorrow’s Leaders; Student Voices Heard - 2008; Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders; or Leading the Way for Tomorrow.
